Creativity and Synchronistic Events

Co-creating with life comes in its purest form when the mind is focused in the present moment. There are two times when we are not in the present moment—one is from living our karma, which is being caught with our past mistakes and misdeeds, and the other is when we are attached to future outcomes.

When we are fearful of the outcome our future may bring or we are heavily invested in or committed to a future goal, we have become attached, and therefore we have lost our ability to remain in the present moment, free of all attachments and illusions. Remember, attachments arise from fear. When we are afraid, our ego attaches to something that is outside of ourselves or outside of our power of influence. We have turned over our power to something that we actually have no power over.

We can also manifest through our relationships and creative projects, from a point of being heavily influenced by our past events. All of these types of illusions cloud our ability to create to our potential and to live out our purpose. Our mind races with thoughts, ideas, and dramas, and when creativity does occur, it results in a small, repeat manifestation of a past behavior, rather than a great new manifestation, which speaks of true transformation.

We are so chained by these illusions and our karma from the past that our creative endeavors are repeat performances of who we believe we are in that moment. For example, we may believe we are a failure at everything we do, we are not intelligent, not good enough, we need to have another’s approval, we must follow a particular path to success, and we are at our core unlovable. Yet when we are present in the moment, these beliefs do not exist. We only breathe life into negative beliefs when we turn our awareness to our past, or to our fear of the future. Then, we are not living from the present moment.

We often fail to realize that our power exists in the present moment…and that we can in that moment break free of all karma and illusions to harness the power that is a product of our soul’s blueprint and create from our soul’s nature…the place of love.

We need to remember that life is only available for co-creating in the present moment. It is at that present point—the now—that our true power exists. To live from the present point of power requires that we have the ability to be fully in the moment and to have a focused mind. To do otherwise abuses the moment, the timing of our creativity, and our ability to manifest. The moment is gone, the opportunity has vanished, and we have once again created from fear.

When we are aware of the present moment, then we are aware of the essence of life as it is creating. We understand when it is right for us to allow for a time to sit back and do nothing…to allow patience to exist until the elements are there for us to re-engage the creative process.  When we have connected to that present point of power and are aware of the essence of life around us, we have entered into the flow of existence. From this place of co-creating, it becomes an effortless process. Then we handle the challenges easily, as the tools and other individuals become available at the right time. We see the synchronicity of events occur more and more, some as the result of our direct involvement and others as a result of something outside our influence.

When we are in this flow of life, we are aware of the process of our creative endeavor and are not attached to the end result. We find an enjoyment of life, happiness about our existence, whether it is the creative endeavor of a special project, our work, or our relationships.

I personally see this process playing out when I write a piece of fiction and I have no outline to drive the writing in a certain direction. I have no cast of characters already planned. The story evolves out of the right moment, and as the characters engage their experiences, they tell me the next move, right up to the end of the piece. As I write the story, I may encounter an event in real life or a sentence repeated on television that spurs a creative flow of scenes that my characters inhabit, which propels the story forward. So the synchronicity of life aids in my creative process.

When I work from my present point of power, I have the enjoyment of co-creating with the mystery of life. I am fully involved in the process, in the moment, and I am alive.
