Truths I Live By

In the 25 years I have studied consciousness and psychology the premises and theories of how life organizes life have changed. For example, I use to believe that when a person begins the process of reclaiming their projective material that life will reflect back to them goodness, ease and happiness. This belief structure arose out of my own childish belief that being a good girl reaps rewards. I have long since allowed that belief to drop away. It was there to allow me a since of power and control over a life that can be referred to as ordered chaos. While these belief structures have come in and served me to some extent in my life and then are revealed as illusion, there are three truths that have continued to remain constant and have withstood the passage of time.
These truths are: resonating with compassion through the open heart, listening without judgment to my own reactivity to people, places and situations and directing my attention in four areas: the positives in life developed through gratitude; having hope and trust in oneself; finding self-acceptance and self-love; and prayer and meditation. These are truths that are the mainstay in my daily practice.
